The Affair

The Affair at the Jupiter was such a wonderful showcase of the work we've done at Flying Horse over the last few years.

In a matter of 4 or 5 hours, Assistant Director Larry, our interns Sean Blay and Mike Schweizer and I transformed our 10 x 20 foot hotel room into a professional gallery in anticipation of the 3000 people who would be visiting with us over the next 3 days.

Over 40 galleries from the United States participated in the event. Many of our visitors were excited by the fine books we are publishing and took the time to leaf through them and ask lots of questions about how we produce them.

Affair at the Jupiter

Summer is coming to an end, which means the season is gearing up for FHE and the artworld in general. This fall will be a busy one for us. Underway is a project with Tom Nozkowski and John Yau. Currently in research stage, we're working to find the right materials and designs for a book collaboration between these two recognized creative forces.

FHE has been invited to exhibit our prints, books and ephemera at the Affair at the Jupiter Hotel in Portland, OR from Sept 13-16. We'll be exhibiting more than 15 artists during the fair, exposing some west coast collectors to our passion and commitment to our high quality editions and collaborations.
